I have got to ask if anyone has thought of the use of solar panels that interlock to make large floating canopies over the surface of the ocean that also traps water 4 desalinisation processed water serving two purposes of energy generation?
A large enough blanket covering an area with flotation and in a open sea marked by buoy and maintained could service an island with all the water and electricity needed to live on a desert island.

DO NOT rush into installing solar panels until we can redesign them to look proper on our roofs. They look hideous and is an eye sore to the community.

Do you have the panels on a seperate charge controller?
Or do you combine them all with blocking diodes in paralell to a single charge controller?

  10. mrbuki77 Said,

Can you show us the other parts of your system? And what part of the country are you located in? That is a good DIY solar array system you have there! Later from sunny FL.
