   you’re absolutely right, we can’t create carbon or oxygen, what’s here is here and will always be. on the other hand. although the amount of CO2 is fixed (we can’t create more or destroy it) what is not fixed is the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. that does change.

   so the amount of carbon and oxygen overall will always be the same, the amount in the atmosphere isn’t and i think it’s quite clear that the more CO2 there is in the atmosphere, the hotter things will get.

   this is an amazing idea but still what’s missing is the cost of this project…. it costs like 4 times more than just normal projects but then again the prices will eventually go down just like it did with wind power??

Yes Global warming is a real as real can be. Humans caused it and only we can attempt to slow it down, stop it maybe not but slow it down we can…and will.     But what about carbon dioxide in fossil fuels that weren’t always in the atmosphere? Surely the scientific data can prove to u that global warming is not fake. The extra CO2 was trapped in fossil fuels that we are now burning to satisfy our wants and needs.More trees would help. =)

(i have my doubts on that though at any rate, all the talk about carbon sequestration is around because humans have released so much of nature’s carbon sequestrations into the atmosphere (i.e. coal, oil, gas, ancient forests)
    we’ve released the carbon demons of the underworld and now they’re wreaking havoc on our world above.

    Yes, you can create carbon dioxide, it’s a compound. Carbon or carbon compounds could be all converted to carbon dioxide. duh.

    Global warming is fake. Matter can’t be created or destroyed. What is here has always been here. We can’t create carbon dioxide. It has always been here in one form or another. Stop Villanizing a gas we exhale. All of this talk about carbon sequestration what a waste of money and time plant more trees if you are worried about it.

    People seem to think water just disappears because it passes through your system and gets pissed out. You know water never disappears, ever. It gets contaminated with other stuff, but eventually through mother earths processes, or humans filtering techniques we have clean water again.
    So in this case, water is of no problem, it rarely is actually, wich is shown by how incredibly cheap pure drinking water is in most of the world.

    A hyrdo dam is pretty comparable to this concept. Not hard to wrap your mind around really. So explain how it’s too good to be true again?

    Who gives a crap how much water it uses the world has an endless supply of water and with an almost endless supply of electricity we could easily use desalination to make fresh water from the ocean so thats not an issue. The fact is we have the means to power all of america and pretty much any other country with large open areas with solar power but morons in goverment are taking forever to put it into place in most places. Not to mention greedy idoits that rather kill the environment to make $

    Although it could be a closed loop cycle the plant will still use water for cooling, your forgetting in a closed loop cycle a condenser is required to cool the water to reuse…most power plants use water cooling rather than air cooling as its cheaper…so i’d say that it does use a significant amount of water

    When water enters the steam turbine(s), it expands, expansion runs the turbine and turbine runs the generator. When water expands, it cools from steam back to the water. This water is piped back to the boiler room where it’s again heated up.
    It’s a completely closed cycle which never stops if you heat up the water.
