LOL The green white green order of the storage boxes on the high shelf hand me thinking you had some Heathkit equipment hiding out up there. But I guess not.

  2. jihadacadien Said,

Wow imagine the great high power spot you could make with a lot of those..and how little energy it would cost!

  3. JaysonX5 Said,

come hook up my house xD …. if not, send a list of items, cost and location of sale : /

  4. pcuimac Said,

Did i hear that right? 6$ for these LED lights? Where can i get these? Here in Europe you pay 40€ for such a lamp.
    I really enjoy your videos.

  5. TheBattleWagon Said,

Have you tryed regenertive loop? power from one pannel running the lights that power the second pannel? the idea is like the way power is boosted in a spark coil in an automobile.

  6. TheBattleWagon Said,

    . But done with light.

  7. GREENPOWERSCIENCE Said,

@wickedweekend Yes, but slow. The 7ah batteries charge well, these will charge any 12v battery. I would suggest a CHARGE CONTROLLER, even though they are not powerhouses, these panels can overcharge a 12v battery over a few days if you forget, trust me:-)

  8. Felipecabesas Said,

Thanks. I will start making my project soon.
I will power my Water Fountain Pump With A solar panel and a battery resovoir. Hope It works. I will post up.

  9. wickedweekend Said,

Would a 6 watt panel charge a small sealed lead acid battery?

  10. GREENPOWERSCIENCE Said,

@snarfdwarf The ones on Ebay are gone now. The only auctions are currently $34.99 “6 watt solar panel”

  12. gvvs2 Said,

Can you tell me where I can get 6w panels for $20.00??

  13. spark300c Said,

it is up front cost . I divided 17 by 6 and rounded up.

  14. snarfdwarf Said,

$17 is a nice price to try them out, where can you get them for less then $20

  15. Velkoze1 Said,

Holy Hoo Ha How can I get those to grow plants for me in the right spectrum’s with your switchery doo dad?

  16. RupertsCrystals Said,

    That’s pretty cool.
Another type of LED lighting I have seen is automotive lighting.
I have an LED strip light that replaces fluorescent tube lighting. The maker claims it is “as bright as a 60W bulb”, but I think it is actually brighter. I think it’s designed for internal lighting in a bus or something.

  17. AlexGrim Said,

Yeah, that’s the standard package I think we should already be using extensively. Not enough people know, which prevents wide spread usage of this technique. They just don’t think about it, it’s easy to just keep using what we have and watch Idol and Dancing with the Stars.

  18. insAneTunA Said,

Over what period of time did you calculate the exact costs?

How long do you think that the modern day solar panels will last? According to a professor in the Netherlands they will last for about 30 years, and the costs of a complete system will be payed back in about 10 years. And that is in the Netherlands, even with a lot of cloudy days with rain. I believe the professor who is also a former astronaut from the space shuttle and a multiple winner from the solar challenge race in Australia.

    @ABOSOLUTEKNOWLEDGE

Most people can’t afford the big installations yet, so this is a good way to start. Other then that it is important that the public can see and learn that solar energy is useful for big parts in the world and that it will pay itself back at places with the right conditions. I like people who put a lot of free time, energy and money into making these kind of videos. People like Dan and Denise are doing great work, maybe you should sponsor them so they can show what you like?

  20. hmu7 Said,

    Thanks Dan,
Please make a video about the connections and electronics needed to make this work with the wind power and some batteries to be able to really power a house…

  21. davidstonner Said,

    keep up the awesome work!

  22. ABOSOLUTEKNOWLEDGE Said,
