Benefits Of An Infrared Trash Can

Posted under environment by Cody Scholberg

Cleanliness is more important to some of us than others. While some people don?t mind letting the dishes pile up and leaving takeaway boxes on the kitchen counter, others are at the opposite extreme, and can?t bear to be around any kind of trash.

You know the type. The people who hold in their sneezes (at what cost to their brain I know not), or who distribute hand sanitizer at restaurants. These people are neurotic about their trash, and hate to be near it.

So to assuage their neuroses, a good investment for their kitchen or bathroom is the infrared trash can. This nifty little machine detects your hand hovering a few inches above the lid and opens automatically, thus allowing you to drop your trash in without having to actually be near it. It?s the obsessive compulsive?s, or just the very fastidious?s dream.

There is not a lot of price difference in touchless trashcans. Cheaper ones are just under $100 while more expensive ones are just over $100. The main difference between these varieties is that the cheaper ones have lids that lift and the more expensive ones slide across. With a price difference of only $20-$30, you may as well spring for the sliding lid, as it conserves space and looks more attractive.

These trash cans can work in the home, however. They?re great options for if you have children, as they make throwing things away fun. What better way to institute healthy habits than to start young with a fun game and toy?

Even if you?re not a neurotic, these trashcans can work in the home. They?re great if you have young children, as kids love things like this that appear to work by magic. Throwing things away is now fun, and a lifelong habit is instilled.
