Biodiesel Expansion the New Wave of the Future
Posted under environment by Carl LedermanBiodiesel expansion seems that the process that would solve many concerns worldwide. With many countries unable to produce their own fuels, there is much reliance on the ability to purchase it from others. Fossil fuels omit pollution into the atmosphere. This has become cause for concern throughout the planet. Many countries the world over are searching for green alternatives.
The cost of fuel today has become outrageously high. We all certainly have heard the expression that fuel is a commodity, and indeed it is. With the rise of inflation, people struggle just to feed their families. Concerns about the cost of necessary fuel on everyone’s mind. People have also become extremely conscious of conservation. Because fossil fuel is a limited resource, alternatives will without a doubt eventually be necessary.
Ethanol is made to the use of vegetables. In fact the highest percentage of vegetables used in can manufacture of ethanol is corn. This is a true renewable energy which is widely available and can be reused many times. You can be sure that this is just the beginning of many more environmentally responsible innovations.
Unlike fossil fuel, ethanol is a natural fuel which is made from mainly corn and corn bi-products. This is a product which can be used over and over again. Who ever imagined that their used cooking oil could become so valuable? This seems to be a perfect solution, right? That may not be the case. It seems that there is much more work to be done in order to perfect this process.
Unfortunately, evidence has shown that the process of creating this bio diesel in fact can create more pollution than that of fossil fuel. This is not to say that this discovery is without great value, rather that it does not do enough to combat the “greenhouse affect”. Another negative implication of the use of bio diesel, is the affect that is has on food crops. Because many farmers have chosen to grow corn simply for the purpose of creating this green fuel, the cost of food in general has increased globally.
The experts at bio diesel development continue in their endeavor to perfect this process, in order to make it more environmentally friendly. New techniques and innovations are being tested on a daily basis. Even the US government and many of the world’s governments have become involved in the search for renewable green energy.
The development of ethanol has led to a great deal of interest in creating green alternatives in many areas. Safflower oil, soy beans and algae are all being used in the research and development of bio diesel.
The way of the future will with out a doubt find green solutions to be common place. We can expect to see many more homes which are operated by wind and solar power. Renewable energy will be the rule rather than the exception. Our air will be fresher, our water will be cleaner, and our brown/green planet will once again be just green.
